Gaming Employee Registration Appeals FAQ's

Nevada Gaming Commission Hearings Conducted Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 463.335

You were just before the Nevada Gaming Commission (Commission) appealing a gaming employee registration objection. Based on the outcome of your appeal, what happens next?

1. If the objection was REVERSED (which means your appeal was granted):
No further action is required on your part. Please allow at least one week from the date of your Commission hearing for the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) to update its records. Then, you may apply for a gaming position and your employer will confirm your eligibility to work in a gaming capacity.

2. If the objection was REVERSED WITH CONDITIONS:
You must abide by all conditions placed upon you within the time frame specified during your Commission hearing. General instructions will be included with the letter you receive from the Commission after your hearing. If you require further guidance, please review Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 463.335 or seek legal counsel. Please ensure that you contact the NGCB agent listed in the letter for any follow-up or compliance matters.

3. If the objection was SUSTAINED (which means your appeal was denied) and you intend to seek judicial review:
You may file a petition for judicial review with a Nevada District Court. The petition for judicial review must be filed within 20 days of receiving the letter from the Commission. General instructions will be included in the letter sent to you following your Commission hearing. If you require further guidance, please review NRS 463.335 or seek legal counsel.

4. If the objection is SUSTAINED and you DO NOT pursue further appeal:
You may request another hearing before the NGCB one year from the date of your Commission hearing. General instructions will be included in the letter you receive from the Commission after your hearing. If you require further guidance, please review NRS 463.335 and Nevada Gaming Commission Regulation 5.109 or seek legal counsel.
